The newly designated pet cemetery is Block 11 of the Gananoque Cemetery
2023 bylaws dictated by BAO allows established cemeteries in Ontario to bury pets in a newly designated areas not currently allotted for human remains.
For pet burials restrictions apply:
- household pets only
- must be cremated
- flat markers only
- no flowers or adornment only approved markers by the Cemetery
Family members may purchase a bench for the area approved by the Cemetery
