Memorial Day is our replacement name for the former Decoration Day. Decoration Day stemmed from the original composition of our cemetery when families came to decorate their loved ones graves. In more progressive times, Memorial Day is more fitting as it demonstrates why families come on Sunday June 25 to celebrate the life of their loved ones. We hope you join us for this 1 hour celebration annually. We have a pastor officiating and entertainment available. Bring a lawn chair and help celebrate the life of those resting at Gananoque Cemetery.
